Salem Automation offers virtualization products such as CHARON, TITAN & NuVAX/NuPDP software products to emulate computers such as PDP, VAX, Alpha or HP 1000 hardware onto a new Windows/PC server or workstation platform. Salem Automation also provides the turnkey installation services and with ongoing phone support for your virtual system. These virtualization software offerings allow you to move your entire legacy operating systems such as VMS, RSX, Tru64 UNIX, RTE and other operating systems with their applications over to the new Virtual Machine environment unmodified. Source code is not required but if you have
it, your IT staff can continue to modify and support your applications on
the new virtual machine as you do now. Users will not even know you have
moved to the virtual environment, except their applications will run
considerably faster. Salem Automation has installed nearly 500 of these virtual systems in a variety of applications so you can feel confident these
virtual systems provide a very low risk option for continuing to use your
system for another 10 years or more. Generally, if you are under a typical
legacy hardware maintenance contract, a turnkey virtualization can be
purchased with a 6 to 18 month payback! Total time from purchase to
installation can be as little as three weeks. Salem Automation is open to
creating additional legacy computer virtualizations, modifications of
existing virtualizations and custom I/O virtualizations for a fee to suit a
specific customer need.
